WHO IS DECOURTCEY?
DeCourtcey is named after founder Candice Moore’s late father, Junior DeCourtcey Moore. Born on the Caribbean island of Barbados, he was a believer in living boldly, leading with passion, and creating a life on your own terms. He was Candice’s greatest supporter and a constant source of encouragement throughout her entrepreneurial journey.
DeCourtcey Events was created in his honor; rooted in hospitality, connection, and the belief that meaningful moments deserve thoughtful care and intentional execution.

Candice Moore

Candice began her first company, The Styled Stem, just months after losing her father in 2019. His passing became a defining moment — a reminder that waiting for the “right time” is never guaranteed. It was time to build something lasting.
With over 13 years of experience planning weddings, corporate gatherings, and nonprofit events, Candice brings a calm, strategic approach to every celebration. Known for her ability to balance creative vision with operational precision, she leads with clarity, warmth, and a deep respect for the people and stories behind each event.
DeCourtcey Events reflects her father’s legacy — refined yet welcoming, intentional yet joyful, and always centered on meaningful connection.

With a background in nonprofit leadership and strategy consulting, Cher brings structure, creativity, and infectious enthusiasm to every event. She excels at managing logistics while ensuring each celebration feels thoughtful and personal.
